AI-Powered Portfolio Analysis & Research Tools
Eight AI-powered tools to help you research, analyze, and understand your investments. Powered by Google Gemini with your portfolio context.

AI Chat
Ask questions about your portfolio in plain language and get contextual answers about your holdings, performance, and allocation. Requests are sent to Google's Gemini API under its paid-tier terms; StockWatcher trains no model on your data, and every call is recorded in an encrypted audit record on your account.
Portfolio Insights
Receive AI-generated observations about your portfolio including concentration risks, sector imbalances, and performance outliers. Insights are informational and should not be considered investment advice.
Smart Notes
AI-assisted note-taking that helps you document investment theses, track your reasoning over time, and surface relevant context from your portfolio when writing about a specific holding.
Natural Language Screener
Describe what you are looking for in plain English — for example, "Canadian dividend stocks with a yield above 4%" — and the AI translates your query into screening criteria automatically.
Alert Explanation
When a portfolio alert triggers, get an AI-generated explanation of what happened and relevant context. Understand price movements, earnings impacts, and news events that may have contributed to the alert.
AI Search (Google-Grounded)
Search for investment research and financial information using Google-grounded AI. Results include cited sources so you can verify information independently before making decisions.
Market Brief
Get a daily AI-generated summary of market conditions, your portfolio performance, and notable events affecting your holdings. A quick informational overview to start your research day.
Voice Assistant
Use the live audio voice assistant to ask questions about your portfolio hands-free. Powered by Gemini Live, the voice interface supports natural conversation for quick portfolio lookups and research queries.
How it works
Turn AI on and choose how much context to share
AI features stay off until you enable them, and each one is a separate switch. Requests carry aggregate portfolio figures by default; sharing individual holdings for a specific question is a deliberate per-request choice rather than a standing setting.
Ask in plain language
Chat answers questions about your own holdings, performance and allocation. The natural-language screener turns a description such as "Canadian dividend payers yielding over four percent" into structured filter criteria you can inspect and adjust before running it.
Get grounded results where grounding matters
Search and the market brief run against Google-grounded models that return cited sources, so you can open the source and check a claim yourself instead of taking a generated sentence on trust.
Every call is logged, and every answer is yours to verify
AI requests and a truncated response are written to an encrypted audit record on your account. Model output is labelled as informational and is never turned into an order, an alert, or a change to your ledger unless you do it yourself.
What it does not do
Knowing where a tool stops is worth more than a longer list of what it claims. These are the boundaries of what StockWatcher does here.
It does not manage money or place trades
No AI feature can buy, sell, rebalance, or move anything. There is no connection to a brokerage and no execution path of any kind. What you get back is text to read.
It is not financial, investment, or tax advice
Generated observations describe patterns in data you supplied. They do not account for your circumstances, obligations, time horizon or risk tolerance, they cannot see anything you did not enter, and they are not a recommendation to act.
Models produce wrong answers, including confident ones
Language models misstate figures and invent detail. Verify anything that would change a decision against the underlying data and the cited source, and treat a market brief as a starting point for research rather than a conclusion.
Availability and daily limits differ by plan
AI features are unavailable on the Free plan. Grounded search and the voice assistant are Pro only, and each feature carries a daily request allowance rather than unlimited use.
