Estimate how your Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) contributions may grow over time, including the Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG). This is a simplified calculator for informational purposes only — actual results depend on investment returns, additional grants (CLB, provincial), and withdrawal timing.
About the CESG
The Canada Education Savings Grant (CESG) is a government grant that matches 20% of the first $2,500 you contribute to an RESP each year, up to $500 per year per child.
The lifetime maximum CESG per beneficiary is $7,200. Lower-income families may qualify for an additional 10-20% on the first $500 contributed.
CESG is available until the end of the calendar year the child turns 17, with some conditions for 16 and 17 year olds.
