If you invest with Robinhood and want a consolidated, brokerage-agnostic view of your portfolio, you can export your account history and import it into HCC StockWatcher. This guide covers getting the data out and bringing it in.
Getting Your Robinhood Data
In Robinhood, open your Account settings and look for the reports/statements or data-export options. Robinhood provides account statements and a transaction/history export you can download.
Download the transaction history as a CSV (or a supported spreadsheet). If only PDF statements are available for a period, you may need to request or generate the CSV export for that range.
Importing and Reviewing
In HCC StockWatcher, go to Transactions > Import and select your Robinhood CSV. The parser maps each row to the correct transaction type.
Review the preview and confirm. Pay particular attention to options trades and any corporate actions, which sometimes need a manual check.
Wash Sales and Cost Basis
US investors should remember the wash-sale rule: a loss can be disallowed if you buy a substantially identical security within 30 days before or after the sale. HCC StockWatcher's estimates do not automatically apply every wash-sale adjustment, so reconcile against your Robinhood 1099-B at tax time.
Disclaimer: HCC StockWatcher is an informational tool; figures are estimates and may differ from your broker's official 1099-B. Robinhood's export options may change. Consult a qualified tax professional for your specific situation.
